Founding Member and Managing Partner of Clemente Capital, Inc (CCI). She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Chicago. She worked as Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager at CNA Financial Corporation, and then as Director of Investment Research and Assistant Treasurer at the Ford Foundation before founding Clemente Capital in 1976. Mrs. Clemente is considered to be one of the pioneers in Emerging Markets. She has been investing in Japan since 1987 and launched China's first private equity fund  in 1992, Cathay Clemente Holdings, Ltd. Today, as chief investment global strategist, Mrs. Clemente continues to lead Clemente Capital Inc. providing an active voice on the firm's Investment Committee. She was active in many civic groups and foundations, particularly those with interest in Asian-American affairs. She was formerly Chairman of the Asian Securities Industry Institute (ASII), Washington based Philippine American Foundation and former member of the Board of Directors  U.S. Securities Industry Association (SIA), and member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.

As President and Chief Investment Officer of Clemente Capital, Inc. Mr. Clemente is responsible for portfolio and asset management for Clemente investment accounts. He worked with Cathay Clemente Investment Holdings as Co-Investment Manager to the Fund and all the China related projects. He served as Managing Director and executive President of the First Philippine Fund. His career spans over three decades of active involvement in the world of finance, securities analysis and quantitative research. From 1963-64, Mr. Clemente served as an economist in the Program Implementation Agency Office of the President of the Philippines. He garnered eight years of investment experience as a Senior Securities Analyst at Merrill Lynch from 1969-75, covering the technology and metals sectors. In 1976, Mr. Clemente joined Marine Midland Bank, where he worked as Investment Research Officer, responsible for selection of the Bank's foreign stocks and its mining/steel investments. From 1979-85, Mr. Clemente served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager of pension funds for Eberstadt Asset Management. He also served as member of the Eberstadt's Investment Policy Committee, and was instrumental in launching and managing the Eberstadt's International Fund, which had returns exceeding 44% from 1985-86. In addition, Mr. Clemente served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Van Eck Management in New York where he launched and managed the World Trends Fund, Inc., an open-ended global mutual fund. Mr. Clemente earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines. He went on to study Finance and Marketing at Northwestern University, where he received his MBA degree. Mr. Clemente also attended the doctorate program in finance at the University of Chicago.
